Concern about how much we weigh, and what we look like has vastly increased in recent years. In order to lose weight, or improve our overall appearance, we Americans spend a great deal of time counting calories. Consuming weight loss products such as pills, or liquids, and being diligent about how many calories we take in at every meal, might help us to shed some pounds, but we might also be losing some vital nutrients that our bodies need.
A recent report released, “The Dietary Guidelines for Americans”, states that there some important nutrients and vitamins that many people are not taking in enough of.
These key nutrients are
Fiber
Calcium
Potassium
Magnesium
Folic acid
Iron
Vitamins E, D, B-12, C, and A
Making a vitamin supplement part of your daily routine is a great way to make sure that you are not at risk. However, check the packaging label; some brands of vitamins do not always meet the recommended guidelines. And also, include foods rich in these nutrients in your diet plan.
