The cabbage soup diet is a low in fat and high in fiber plan that will take some pounds off relatively quickly to jump start your weight loss before starting a more sensible eating plan.
With the cabbage soup diet you will lose weight fast and eat as much of the foods listed in the program as you like. You can find the plan and the recipe for the soup all over the internet.
For some the cabbage soup diet seems bland. As well, with the drastically reduced calories, you can become light-headed, weak, and have reduced concentration. Some don’t seem to mind these side effects due to the weight loss they experience.
The keys to succeeding with the cabbage soup diet are to follow the diet exactly, drink at least 4 glasses of water per day, take a good multivitamin, print the diet so you can refer to it daily, eat lots of soup to stay full and use different spices to add variety to the soup.
The cabbage soup diet is filled with great healthy foods but the real concern is the very low calorie count. For those of you who just can’t stand cabbage (I happen to love it) this diet is not for you. If you leave out the soup you’re really going to be hungry and not get the full benefit of the diet.
Be very careful with the cabbage soup diet. It should only be followed for 7 days at a time, with at least two weeks in between and check with your doctor first.
